4 stars only because it is a little pricy. Food is very good. Clean bathrooms. Harvest pie was amazing! Staff is friendly and helpful. Regular stop for us on the way back from Duluth.
Do not even bother with this place for dinner. Based on recommendations from friends we tried Tobies for dinner, since we came to the nearby Casino for a concert. Many raved about the rolls and food. I had the meat loaf and could only eat a few bites. It was one of the worse meals I have had in some time. My son had the tuna melt and it was terrible. We thought the rolls must be better and we tried a cinnamon roll for desert - it was fine and I would have rated two stars because of the rolls, but then we took two cinnamon and two caramel rolls home and our family all had the same reaction - not so great, not worth the price. Cinnabon is far better and so much tastier.
Tobies does it right! Kind and great staff! Their caramel rolls brought us back two days in a row! They saw we were visiting from out of state and gave us a few on the house. very impressed and very delicious!!!!
Hasbrowns had a very unpleasant taste. Not much flavor. I had a breakfast burrito that was on special. No flavor at all. It had a horrible cheese sauce on top that was slimey and flavorless. I had one bite of each and told our server that it wasn't good, nothing was done to rectify the situation. She brought us the bill and walked away. Very disappointed. I Do not recommend stopping in for breakfast here.
Unusual items on the menu. I had bacon and blue cheese soup and it was outrageously good. The entrees were very generous. They cook without salt in anything and have gluten free bread available. They have an on-site Bakery and you can buy all kinds of yummy stuff. It was very clean and the wait staff was extremely efficient and friendly. It was dark out so I couldn't take pictures outside. It is conveniently located right by the second off-ramp when you're going north on I-35.
