came up to casino with dog and forgot licence and credit card. couldnt stay at casno and tried the eagle inn. no problem cash was ok and even let my dog stay in room. in fact when she showed us the room she patted the bed and called the dog up. very cool. breakfast was 5 dollars a person, and served at time we specified. toby the owner is a great hostess, and very friendly. Our son came up and she showed him the wii and let him help her water pllants. on weekdays there should be no problem getting in without reservations, for now. . Once word gets out about this place im sure will be full constantly. Shuttle to casino too. breakfast is worth twice as much as we paid, at least. Fridge and dvd in room. When in hinkly stay here for great hospitality, very clean living, and awesome breakfast. thanx Toby......
Thanks for the wonderful stay. I'm so glad I found you.
Greg stayed up with me and told me some great stories about boa constrictors swallowing alligators whole in the Florida Keys. And he gave me some of his absolutely delicious green beans he'd harvested from their garden and cooked up with butter and herbs just before I'd arrived.
The bed was luxurious and notably comfortable. Breakfast was good and made exactly on time for when I'd asked for it. In short, I actually felt at home (minus the people cooking for and cleaning up after me). All this for $30 less than what I would've paid had I missed The Eagle Inn and ended up staying at the Days Inn on I35—and there I probably would've been eating toast and donuts instead of a homemade omelette and hash browns before heading back out on the road.
Happened across this place on my way to the Interstate after having biked to the end of the Willard Munger trail after 10:00 p.m. on a weeknight. Tobbie invited me right in, provided me with a secure place to store my bicycle, and even let me do a load of laundry while she and her husband, Greg, enjoyed a late-night snack in their handsome kitchen.
Very nice people and the house is great....had a wonderful breakfast and the price was very good....i will stay there many more times
Outstanding value for the money! I stayed for 3 nights in early August 2011. Toby is a great hostess and her breakfasts are outstanding. Very friendly, laid-back atmosphere. The property is clean and well-kept and there are a lot of nice touches, like in-room coffee, videos, cable, etc. It's an interesting historic property, and Toby and her partner Greg have restored it beautifully. The rooms are clean, the bathrooms are immaculate and well-stocked. The bed was comfortable, the showers work well and one of the bathrooms has a jetted tub should you be so inclined. I'll be staying there on future visits to the area. Don - Nevada
We were so excited to have found this place, right in town. Hostess offered to bring our breakfast up to the room, she said she would knock and leave. She never came, it was very disappointing. When we went to leave she said we never mentioned what time we wanted our food or where we wanted it.....keep in mind, she offered. We did have a coffee pot in our room but, no cups. Overall, we are just really disappointed.
